Silver City, NM Test Range

Customers who need to do guided or unguided flights without live warheads will like our Silver City site. Located on over 150 Sq-Miles of nearly flat ranch land providing excellent visibility and access for test instrumentation.

We can shoot 11km down range with a large safety fan around the firing line. 

If you need to prove-in your system with privacy our test sites will allow confidential test results for those who you have stated have a need to know. Test privately before your world stage testing, so you know its going to be successful.

We provide instrumentation to quantify your tests from X-ray, weather monitoring system, Doppler radar, AVL ballistic computer systems, pressure-time transducers, sky screens, accelerometers, strain gauges, thermocouples, and pressure gauges to  Photographic equipment including high-speed cameras (10,000 f/s).

We have available temperature conditioning units for conditioning cartridges from -46 degrees centigrade to +63 degrees centigrade.

 EMRTC has a large existing inventory of gun systems to meet experimental ballistic requirements including  US Army & Navy gun systems from a 5.56 NATO to an 8" howitzer. 

You provide a simple or complex test plan and we will orchestrate everything you need from guns to reports. You decide what you want to learn about your Unit Under Test (UUT) and we will help you to get the most out of each test event by using the right test setup.

Once we agree on a test plan then we choose a date and you ship your UUT(s) and other equipment to our Socorro or Playas sites. We handle the rest and work with you and your team to instrument the range for collecting the right data to prove your system(s).

If your system is complex we can get you to the range in plenty of time for the required setup. Our team works with your team toward getting your test data at the lowest cost possible.
